Many things happened during the week of anime north, I had a commercial to film, preparing art banquet, numerous photography projects, an essay due and an exam OTL

On Thursday I donated blood to the caliper project, minus the 2 hour wait and the big bruise I still have, it was a pretty nice experience. (Note: They told us it’s going to take us 5 minute to get the sample, but the lineup was so long I had to skip last bit of lunch and the next period before I got it done.)

And while I was working on art banquet afterschool that day, I accidentally slice my finger. Blood dripped all over the floor, but surprisingly it doesn’t hurt a lot. Even though I waste my time going to the clinic, the doctor told me it’s all fine. But the main problem is my COSPLAY. D: I was in a rush to get my cosplay done, and became extremely troublesome for me to not able to use my index finger D: And getting spray paint on my wound is not a good thing.

Friday

• ·         Went to school, decide to do Belarus last minute
• ·         Skipped last two periods since we were doing a charity run around the school anyways
• ·         Went home and fix everything up, went to Akie’s house at 3, found out that I left my badge in Bebe’s bag, went to school trying to look for it, came back in vain
• ·         After some really random adventure, we got a ride to anime north from a total stranger. (Akie’s aunt knows them. But…)
• ·         Met up with everyone at Double tree, walked to TCC, met more school friends, bought a replacement badge and did some window shopping
• ·         Met up with school friends to eat at Sushi Dragon, waited for quite a long time
• ·         Saw Asha, Victoria, Stella and Alice coming out of Sushi dragon, we should have eaten together!
• ·         Left for Anime Hell, saw a TOTALLY AWESOME JOMY COSPLAYER AT DOUBLETREE AREGARAEFEEjgnsrgnakjrgna!!!! Fangirled a bit, took a picture, and told her that I’m doing Blue at FX. (OMFG IF YOU EVER SEES THIS I WANT TO SAY I LOVE YOU SO EFFING MUCH)
• ·         Took some pictures by the green room, helped some guy to take some pictures
• ·         Anime Hell~ It was pretty funny this year, especially Logorama (video at the end), Giraffe AND LOTS OF PEDO JOKES
• ·         but I was dead halfway though, I didn’t understand half of the G. I. JOE jokes
• ·         The fire alarm sounded during Anime Hell, but we ignored it ROFL
• ·         Left at about 12:30 ish

Saturday

• ·         Woke up early to work on cosplay
• ·         Went to Chinese school, did a Hong Kong style exam (wtf)
• ·         Rush back home, got everything ready and BoK picked me up
• ·         Went through weapon check, took a lovely mug shot XD
• ·         Walked around with BoK and Lana for a while before heading to Doubletree to sit
• ·         Some guy said I’m ‘beautiful’  ;AAAAAA; I’m flattered!
• ·         Took pictures of a awesome Mediterranean group and pope of Trinity Blood, GREECE IS SO CUTE <3 And Ancient Greece and Egypt are so pretty too ;__; And Ottoman Empire, you look awesome, but it must be painful to be in those shoes
• ·         Saw Janet and Laura :DDDD had a small convo (wish it could have been longer)
• ·         Wait around for the bus to Sheraton hotel to go for the Hetalia vs Reality panel , but it never came, we ended up taking some photos
• ·         Went to the reborn photoshoot but didn’t see Charles and Vanny, left for dealer’s room, had fun whacking people with my spear ROFL
• ·         Sat for a while to get me wig fix, saw Fiona, Grace and Vivian’s BlazeBlue group
• ·         Walked around the Artist Alley trying to look for Gaby (I forgot you don’t have a table ;_;)
• ·         Saw Min! She couldn’t recognize me as first LOL Talked about castlevania for Fanexpo!!!
• ·         Walked back to Doubletree and saw final and her friend Jackie, who is from USA. Hope you had fun in Canada!!
• ·         met up with Shirley, Victoria and Bebe, did some shooting with BoK
• ·         Try to look for glue gun at the con aid, but they didn’t have it ;AAAAA; WRYYY
• ·         Akie and Manpreet came back from volunteering, went to the mystery event and had some snow flake, my spear pretty much died by then ;AA;
• ·         Went to Tim Hortons for a bit and my sister picked us up at around 10
• ·         Worked on my Touhou project cosplay for a bit

Sunday

• ·         Manpreet picked me up around 12
• ·         Arrived at Doubletree, met up with my Touhou group
• ·         Join the Hetalia Ask-a-Nation panel half way through with BoK, Shirley and Bebe, it was very interesting and funny. I also took some photo of the panel, though I didn’t have a question to ask. I really regret not joining the panel as Iceland, I could have pwnd everyone with my volcano jokes ROFL
• ·         Went to TCC, I wanted to stay for the Hetalia photoshoot, but I need to stay with my group ;AAAA; sadsad
• ·         Saw hikari_light and final and purplettuce and Jackie,~ Fangirled for a bit~ Too bad I couldn't stay ;AAAA;
• ·         Walked around (and getting stopped every two minute) at the dealers room
• ·         Some lady came up to us, start complimenting and stuck the Hall cosplay ribbon on us ROFL  Half of my group only started cosplay this convention ROFL ;___;
• ·         Saw a girl with a ferret! Took a picture with her, the ferret has a shirt that says ‘FREE HUG’ XDDDD
• ·         I FOUND MR.HO LOLOLOLOL He is my Computer Art Teacher/Anime Club supervisor. Last year only a few of us manage to found him (he said he saw most of us ROFL), and I made it my personal goal to find him this year XD GOAL ACCOMPLISHED!!! His girl friend is a cosplayer and she was at the masquerade
• ·         Saw a really nice Marisa cosplayer! Took a photo with her!
• ·         BoK needed to leave early so we met up with Vanny and took some pictures outside of TCC
• ·         Went back to TCC to do some last minute shopping
• ·         Intense shopping for the last half hour ROFL (I actually bought nothing up till now ROFL)
• ·         Went to Doubletree to check the lost and found, waited around for a bit, chatted with Laura and Janet for two minute, apparently if I’ve came 15 minute early I would have seen ranalinde FML DDD’;
• ·         Saw the cutest cat, Burr! She’s six week old and super cute! She even has a con badge! An America cosplayer was taking photos of her XDDD
• ·         Went home around 5:30 ish
• ·         So tired that I sat for an hour doing nothing

 

This year’s Anime North not as fun as I hope to be, but better than last year, for sure. But I didn’t make any new friend  ;__; I also didn't went to as many panel and photoshoot as I wanted to. I missed Hetalia vs Reality, Phoenix Wright and How to run an Anime club panel. I also missed both Hetalia photoshoot ;AAAA; NOOOO Next year, I’m going to travel in smaller packs (lol) and be brave and make friends!!!

 

Cons

·         Less Hetalia than last year ;__;
·         SO LITTLE NORDICS
·         Didn’t see as much people as I wanted too, mainly because my cosplay is so bulky that I keep  losing people
·         Couldn’t work up the courage to talk to people
·         Wasted a lot of time sitting around
·         Missed the two panel I wanted to go the most
·         Took too little picture
·         Wasted a lot of time waiting for a bus that never came

Pros

·         CUTE ANIMAL EVERYWHERE!
·         MEDITERRANEAN GROUP IS SO PRETTY *AAAAAA* *fangirls*

Yeah…. More cons than pro ;___; I should have just go all out, be brave and talk to everyone > ____<

But I still enjoyed it! Hope to see every on at FanExpo! I’m probably getting a table!

March break has been... fulfilling.
Just went on a shoot with BoK and Akie for APH and Letter Bee last week, and this week is filled with fitness, swimming and skating ROFL
And I have been sewing my costume when I don't even have plans to wear them.
Then I notice MTAC is this weekend.
Boy how glad I did ROFL.

So my plan for MTAC is Rin of Togainu no Chi on Saturday.
I don't think I'll be going on Sunday, transportation is such a hassle.
BUT. If I magically finish Hope of FFXIII, then I'm probably wearing him. But the chance is very slim as I still don't have proper yellow fabric for his jacket.
So, MTAC anyone?

Talking about cosplay, I should make a proper 2010 list to replace the getto one >D

Oh and question time~
I consider my shoes part of my costume, but recently I find making boot cover is such a big hassle, and my boot covers are never sussesful.
For Rin from Togainu no Chi, I intended to make his red boot cover before, but I just can't myself start on that thing, two no less.
So, should I just wear my black boot or get my butt to fabricland and get that red leather? (Plus 6 buckles and stripes D:)

Second, I'm working on my props for my AN cosplay, which require a 150cm long staff/stick. I'm hoping for the type were you can adjust the length for easy transportation. I found a bunch of bloom/cleaning stuff with that sort of handle but it's either too short or too expensive.
So, what would you recommend me to use? Adjustable is optional.

Apparently not.

Akie and I went to a job fair at  YMCA today, but we were in the wrong building.
So we headed out and were waiting at a light outside of YMCA when I heard smashing sound, so I looked up at the apartment building across the road and saw a guy wiping his balcony. I thought he dropped his cleaning stuff so I didn't pay attention.

But then suddenly I saw a bottle fell down from above.
Then I looked up higher this time.
and saw a guys the roof.
Oh and another bottle came down.
And two more head poked out from the roof.
And I dragged the obvious Akie away from the building.

I'm so glad I have good vision or else we would be fcuking dead right now.
About another 10 bottles came down before we were able to cross the road to our safety.
And three ojiisan start screaming at them when we were leaving.

Firstly, WHY WOULD YOU BE DRUNK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY?!
Secondly, IF YOU WERE AIMING, THEN YOUR AIMING SUCKS.
Thirdly, YOU WERE SO COOL, OJISAN, IF ONLY YOU WEREN'T BLAD AND HAS THE MID-AGE CRISIS.

And apparently the two girls lining up behind us at the job fair was there too ><
